There is no other way unless you have a better CPU and video card but thats a waste of money for over 60 fps.

System is not compatible or the CPU or graphic card is too hot, check the cooling system. There are a lot possibilitys and it isn't always the fps, in the most cases there is another problem. I saw that the fps drops down from 140 to 2 no joke. It can sometimes happen that you got a short lag. For first I would recommend you to keep an eye on the FPS during playing, because it can be that the fps drops down in some situations. I had the same problems with 140 fps so it can't be the Frame per second at all. It was even a bit bad if the Frames changed too much. As I said I played the game Soma between 140-200 fps and it doesn't feels better than the lower fps. If it will not runs with 60 fps it must be a other reason why it is choppy. Did you tried to make the mouse sensivity highter.
